What is a CHAMP Ceremony?

A CHAMP Ceremony is what you make of it, but we would encourage everyone to follow the standard suggested procedures.

CHAMP Ceremonies are your own private ceremony, and not for others to attend. Also, they are not sponsored by ChampUSA, Inc. in any way.

Starts at precisely 7:00 PM EDT, Monday, Memorial Day.

Everyone holds hands in a circle, whether 2 people or 200.

1. The host leads the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
2. The host reads the CHAMP Pledge.
3. Starting with the person holding the hosts left hand and moving clock-wise, each person in the circle says the following:
I, name, wish to honor:
Name of a Military Personnel
Relationship
Branch of Service
Theatre
Quick Status
3b. Each person in the circle says one name and then on to the next person. This circle can keep going for as long as people wish to participate by honoring someone.
4. When everyone is done, the host starts and ends a group moment of silence.
5. If possible have someone sing, or play "God Bless America" , or another patriotic song.

If your Champ Ceremony has a very large group of people, break into smaller circles as you deem appropriate.
